meeting mom

I hadthe pleasure of having Thelma as a mother-in-law for over 24yrs. When my husband Carl (her youngest son) took me to meet Thelma i knew right away she was a tuff as nails, loving women. with such a huge heart. She made me feel right at home offering me something to drink. Making me laugh by patting Carl's tummy and saying you gettin a little bit fat ain't ya. I was thinking to myself oh god i know i will be next. Carl came into a ready made family i had 3 girls ages 1yr,3yr &4yr. As Carl raised these girls as his own so his mom treated them as her own. With the little money she had ,Thelma would always make sure they had a gift for christmas time. When Carl and i had our own little girl together Hannah she loved her and enjoyed when we brought her to visit. Hannah said she will never forget the one year grandma had saved all the things she had bought her over placed it in her lap when she saw her. Hannah knew that grandma didn't have alot but again what she had she gave to others. I will cherish the time i got to spend with her. Wishing that it was more. When you get caught up with your own lives and you live hours away you tend to forget about the ones that would love to here from you. Don't take for granted time because you never seem to have enough. I will always be grateful to you Thelma for giving me my loving husband you are one of the reasons he grew up to be such a wonderful father and man. Love you always Carrie
