Obituary for Christine Faith Bailey (Fox)
Christine F. Bailey, 64, of Martinsburg went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 8th of 2018 at Berkeley County Medical Center following an extended illness with family by her side. She was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Eldred “Al” Fox and Alice A. Fox. After meeting the love of her life she married Gary L. Bailey on May 26th of 1973.
Chris was first and foremost a Mom, she spent most of her time raising her girls. Later in life she enjoyed spending time with her grand children. When she was not at home looking after family she spent time as a EMT with both Bladensburg and West Lanham Hills Fire Department, she then worked as a Health Aide at Colmar Manor Elementary, Mt Rainer Elementary, Thomas Stone Elementary and Northwestern High School. After moving to West Virginia in 2003 she became a Librarian at Martinsburg Public Library in the children department. She was an avid reader and loved to share her passion with others.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Gary Bailey of West Virginia and her daughter Christie Puhalla (Brian) of Maryland, their children Dominick, Garrett and Delaney; her daughter Kimberly Bailey of Pennsylvania and her children Drew, Kolby and Bailey; her daughter K’sara Cookerly of Maryland and her children Allie and Elijah; her adopted daughter Abigail Bailey; her step daughter Melissa Taylor (Jesse) and their daughter Jada; her brother Robert M. Fox (Sharon) of Florida and their daughter Taylor; and four great grand children, Juliana, Nelly, Alexandre and Brooklyn.
