Obituary for Charles R. Scott

Charles R. Scott, 68, of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Born December 8, 1949 in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was the son of the late Peggy A. Scott.

He was a member of the Inwood Assembly of God Church.

He retired from the Berkeley Co. School System having served as a teacher, administrator, and coach. He also was a member of the Moose and Elks clubs and the WV Association of Secondary School Principals.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Sullivan-Scott; two daughters, Megan Scott of Inwood and Dr. Janna Brown and husband, Alex, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; step-daughter, Sarah A. Kidwell of Martinsburg; grandson, Christopher C. Scott; and faithful companion Lady Poo.

He was preceded in death by his step-son, Joshua L. “Doc” Kidwell.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 3:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor James Schuelke officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Interment will be private.

Contribution may be made to the Inwood Assembly of God Church or the Berkeley Co. Humane Society.
