Vivian May Whalen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, 86 of Harpers Ferry passed away June 9, 2018 at her home. Born March 6, 1932 in Silver Spring, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rosie Yowell. She was a member of the St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Vivian was survived by sons Michael, Andy and John Paul Whalen, daughters, Karen Murphy and Laura Whalen, 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Whalen, daughter, Mary Oliver and grandson Corbyn Whalen. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Jefferson Chapel with the Father John Ledford officiating. Interment will be in the St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
