Obituary for Margaret Ann Stunkle (Lackey)

Margaret Ann Stunkle, 92, of Ranson, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Hospice Inpatient Facility. Born July 3, 1926, in Upperville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Lackey and Cyrus McCormack Shull Lackey.
Margaret was a member of the St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She retired from her position as a laborer from Badger-Powhatan. She loved her family, her cats, and the beach, especially Florida beaches.
She was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas William “Bill” Stunkle, at home; 2 daughters: Alice M. Strickler, and husband David, of Luray, VA, and Barbara Watson, and husband Jay, of Ranson; 5 grandchildren: Aaron J. Watson, Adam C. Watson, wife Meghan, Ethan M. Watson, wife Katelyn, Ian T. Strickler, and Samantha A. Strickler; and 3 great grandchildren: Gavin T. Watson, Liv A. Watson, and Maclain L. Watson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 Sister. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church with the Pastor Diane Day officiating. Interment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
