Joshua Lee McGaha, “Josh,” of Charles Town, passed away unexpectedly at his parent's home in WV on October 11,2018 at the age of 29.
Josh was born on August 17, 1989 in Rockville, MD and raised in Fredrick, MD. He graduated from Thomas Johnson High School in 2007 as a Maryland Scholar. He enjoyed fishing, playing football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He wrote lyrics, made music, liked to cook, loved kids, dogs and cars. Josh was the life of the party, had a huge heart and a contagious smile. He worked at many local restaurants as a cook and most recently as a carpenter.
Josh was survived by his parents Melvin "Jeffrey" and Kimberly McGaha, also of Charles Town; his sisters: Shannon McGaha-Jones, of Nederland, TX; Jessica McGaha, and husband Eric Lawson, of Ranson, WV, Tabitha McGaha-Savage, and husband Eduardo Savage, of Albuquerque, NM; a nephew, Justin, 5 nieces: Destiny, Kaylynn, Kirsten, Kaydaince and Kyndall; his favorite aunt, Penny McGaha, uncle Jimmy Marcum, and wife Heather; close cousins Greggory, Anthony and Jamie, and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandmothers Mary Marcum and Mary McGaha, grandfathers William Marcum and Hume McGaha Sr. A very special aunt Ann Lee, "brother" William "Mikey" Lee and his favorite dogs Charlie and Ruger.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
