Franklin Alexander Shetley, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Franklin was born on April 21, 1937 in Fairfax, VA and was the son of the late Hubert and Ida Mae Shetley.

He was a talented brick and stone mason. He was a great jokester and loved people.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Gail Shetley; two sons, Terrance Shetley and wife Zoe, Ronald Shetley; two daughters, Deanna Mason and husband Robert, Pamela Hileman and husband, Robert; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris King.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor T.J. Shetley officiating. Interment will be in Paynes Chapel Cemetery.
