Obituary for Harry Lee Silveous

Harry Lee Silveous 88 of Kearneysville, husband of Ruth Ellen Bagent Silveous, passed away on Sunday November 18, 2018 their 65th wedding anniversary at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of hospice. Born June 25, 1930 in Winchester, Virginia he was the son of the late William Jenison Bryan Silveous and Julia Cindy Marshall. He was of the Pentecostal faith, served in the U S Army. Harry retired from Dixie Narco and then worked for many farms in Jefferson County. He loved to work crossword puzzles. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Chris Silveous and wife Robin, William “Bill” Silveous and wife Mary, all of Kearneysville and Jeff Silveous and wife Veronica of Summit Point, two daughters, Charity Hawkins and husband Ray of Kearneysville and April Kay Miller and husband Donald of Martinsburg, one sister, Rosie Wiley of Hagerstown, eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by children Harry Lee Silveous, Jr. and Annette Gay Silveous, grandson, Troy Brackett, brothers, Paul, Sidney, Bryan and James Silveous and sister Mary Silveous. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson Chapel with the Pastor Mark Unger officiating. A private burial will be in the Old Quakers Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia. The family request family and friends to join them at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the Independent Fire Co., Ranson, WV for a gathering after the service. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson Chapel.
