Condolence From: Susan A. Cipcic
Condolence: Oh, I'm coming to the news of Charlie's passing so many years after the fact, but still it took my breath away. I was a student and friend at GSU during the 90's. Charlie's classes were the highlight of my days in the Ceramics department. I cherished his critiques and wisdom and humor. So thankful to have a number of his works in my husband's and my art collection, so that I can continue to celebrate Charlie's legacy.

Condolence: Charlie was my great mento and friend at Frostburg between 1975-1978. He taught me ceramics and life and I loved him dearlyhe early morning throwing pots sessions, his critiques and his undying love for ceramics. I'll never forget going to the library at Frostburg and sitting on the floor looking at color photos of Oribe ware and the like ...An amazing human being. I loved the kiln firing days and nights,
Thank you friend and brother,
sincerely,
Samuel Neil Fitzgerald

Condolence: To Elizabeth & Suzanne, I was so saddened to hear about Charlie's death. He was such a wonderful, caring and concerned person. Charlie had a way of making you happy just to be around. He was always willing to share a story or provide help from his expertise. We will remember Charlie with fond memories.

Condolence: I've been out of town for Thanksgiving and was shocked to learn of Charlie's passing. He was a wonderful person; always smiling even after his diagnosis of cancer; loved his grandson and I often saw him shopping with Keith in the shopping cart. My very deepest sympathy to Elizabeth and Susan.
