Obituary for Jeffrey Scott Markley
Jeffrey Scott Markley, 59, of Hedgesville passed away on December 6, 2018 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born October 12, 1959 in Berkeley County, WV he was the son of the late Dennis Victor Markley and Dakota Annabell Smith Markley.
He loved children and enjoyed coaching little league, fall ball, and basketball with the Boys & Girls Club. He was a die-hard Redskins and Yankees fan; and was an avid NASCAR fan and had been to eleven tracks.
He is survived by his wife, Saundra Shirk Markley; three sons, Larry Donald Shoemaker, Jr., Bradley Scott Markley, and Jeffrey Tyler Markley; one daughter, Susan J. Seals and husband Jeremy; four grandchildren, Jacob Seals, Elizabeth Seals, Yasmine Shoemaker, and Angelisa Markley; two brothers, Dennis Lee Markley and wife Brenda of Highview, WV, Victor Eugene Markley of Hedgesville; two sisters, Brenda Wasson and husband Darrell of Hedgesville, and Ann Hyson and husband Rick of Martinsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Dale Smith and Andrew Evans; and a nephew, Kenneth E. Newsome.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Lewis Whitford officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
