Michael Keith Young, 57, of Inwood passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Michael was born on August 3, 1961 and was the son of June Jeanette Young nee Howard and the late Billy Joe Young.

He was a former firefighter with Damascus Volunteer Fire Dept. in Damascus, MD. In his youth, he was active in 4-H and FFA in Montgomery County, MD. He was a journeyman electrician and worked for many years for the Maryland National Capitol Parks and Planning Commission.

He is survived by two daughters; Ashley P. Horst and husband Ryan and Brittany R. Henderson and husband Daniel; two grandchildren, Eve Horst and Cora Henderson and was looking forward to the arrival of his third granddaughter in April; two brothers, Jerry Young and Thomas Young and the mother of his children, Leslie Young.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Mi Ja Cho officiating. Interment will be at Arden United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Michael had a generous heart, a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
