Condolences

Condolence From: Karen Gonzalez
Condolence: About a week from now, you'll be gone a year. How I remember all of the times we would talk on the phone and the beautiful and heartfelt advice you would give to me when it concerned familial matters. You were strict , but fair. You loved everyone and saw through their faults. You were patient and kind. I will forever miss you Uncle Jim. I will miss the tight hugs and the way you made everyone laugh at your silly jokes. I will forever be grateful that God brought you into my life. My youngest son Erick James Christopher will know who you were and how important you meant to me.

Please give my dad a big hello and hug from me. XOXO.

Condolence: I first met Jim when I was a young man coming to work for the Baltimore Sun, and he was, at the time, the Assistant Advertising Manager for Real Estate. We both reported to the same boss. After I got to know Jim, I asked him if he would serve as a co-officiant at my wedding, as I was United Methodist and my then-fiance was Roman Catholic. His presence and help was, and still is, much appreciated. Fast forward 4 decades (we celebrate our 40th anniversary this coming April) and our marriage is still strong, and our daughter and son-in-law are both United Methodist Pastors in the Baltimore-Washington Conference. Rest well in heaven, good and faithful servant.

Condolence: Dearest family, please accept our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts during this difficult time. The memories of this special man are numerous and filled with love and joy. One of the most effective ways to teach spiritual truth is through song. He certainly shared his love for the Lord thru music. It is with adoration that I recall him signing "How Great Thou Art" on many occasions and the subsequent goose bumps. Uncle Jim will be missed in so many ways but most importantly, he will be remembered for his steadfast faith and ever joyful witness in Christ.

Condolence: Mary Jo, Marilyn, Jimmy, Suzanne and Michele,

Our Lord and savior has lost a great messenger, supporter and advocate. Uncle Jim was always "bigger than life". He could have pursued any career and been successful. One of the most professional, intellectual, charismatic, gentle and compassionate men I have known. He will be missed. Sending all of you prayers and comfort during this sad time.
