Obituary for Florine Virginia Bowers (Faircloth)

Florine Virginia Bowers, 85, of Martinsburg passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 while under the care of Hospice at her home.

Born January 1, 1934 in Berkeley County, WV she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Bessie Buzzard Faircloth.

She is survived by her children, James Edwards, Carolyn Swartwood (Rick), Virginia Kay Puffenberger (Randy); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Gregory; and step-children, Gwen Milburn (David), Norman Bowers, III, and Kim Gray.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Bowers, Jr.; two daughters, Tina Ferguson and Stephanie Edwards; two sons, Roger and David Bowers; sisters, Ethel , Rosa Lee Myers, and Betty Myers; and brothers, Gilbert “Buck” Faircloth and Allen “Dink” Faircloth.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 10:00AM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Oscar Motilal officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Flo, you were always there for me and all the kids & grandkids. You were always so great to my kids, your grandkids. They always loved coming to your home. You were always a great cool and homemaker. My dad sooo very much loved you from the bottom of his heart. Your kids and step kids and grandkids will soooo very much miss your laugh, your humor, etc.... God be with you on you trip home to be with dad. He lives you do very much. You both can now rest in peace.

She will be sorely missed. She was so very much loved by her children and stepkids. She always cared for her stepkids as they were her own kids. She in now in heaven with my dad, Norman Bowers jr. They are now again together. They are both do very much missed and will always be loved for the rest of all are lives. Rest in peace.
