Obituary for Jane Caroline "Aunt Janie" Strider (Webster)
Jane Caroline Strider, “Aunt Janie,” 92, of Charles Town, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Shenandoah Center. Born December 29, 1926, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late John Lacey Webster and Daisy Etta Ashby Webster.
Aunt Janie was a member of the Charles Town Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two nieces, Donna W. Kercheval and Sharon W. Harrell, both of Charles Town, and several other nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howard Strider, Jr., “Chis;” two brothers, Donald Lacey Webster and William Robey, and three sisters: Vivien W. Manuel, Hallie R. Whittington and Georgia R. McLaughlin. Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Animal Welfare Society, PO Box 147, Charles Town, WV 25414.
