Obituary for David Leroy Staubs

David Leroy Staubs, 75, of Charles Town, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born August 11, 1943, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Vernon Staubs and Hazel Everhart Staubs.
David was of the Pentecostal faith and the founder of the Country Melodies Band. He worked in construction.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Catherine Elizabeth Dayton Staubs; sons: Paul Staubs, and wife Teresa, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Terry Staubs, of Charles Town; step-sons: Donald Jenkins, of North Carolina, and Charles Jenkins, and wife Irene, of Summit Point; brothers, Gary Staubs, and wife Charlotte, of Harpers Ferry, and Robbie Staubs, and wife Cheryl, of Charlottesville, Virginia; sisters: Ruby Cherry, of Rocky Mt., North Carolina, Sandra Smith, and husband Wayne, of Charles Town; a brother-in-law, Eddie Myers, of Brunswick, Maryland, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, David L. Staubs, Jr., sister, Linda Myers, brother, Randall Staubs, and nephew, Kenney Randall Staubs.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Silver Grove United Methodist Church with the Pastor Mike Lida officiating. Interment will be private.
