Hi, I’m very sorry for your loss. I know that losing someone you love can be very difficult. Personally I’ve found that during times like these, the Bible can bring comfort. At Isaiah 41:10 it says “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” So this scripture reminds us that God is always there for us and we can go to him in prayer whenever and he will comfort us. Also Jw.org is a Bible based website with many videos, publications, and articles that are specifically made for grief. I’ve been able to find many things to help me in the past on Jw.org and I’m sure you will be able to as well.

Uncle Steve was ALWAYS larger than life. He did not just enter a room he filled it. As a child, I thought he was Superman, model, and rockstar all in one. Thinking back I believe he thought the same things of himself. He was handsome, strong, drove fast and lived even faster. I could listen to his stories for hours and loved to hear his laugh. His laugh was both contagious and slightly mischievous. He would give all he had to someone in need, even when he didn't have it to give. He loved hard, played hard, and fought harder. Once you were his friend you were a friend for life. There is no-one in this world that could give a bear hug like him, in doing so he made you feel both loved and safe. I believe he is laughing and telling stories, happy to be with the family he has deeply missed. His love for those close to him was only surpassed by his love for his heavenly father. May his stories live on, his laughter fill my memories, and his soul find peace.
