Obituary for Cora Ellen Gilhart
Cora Ellen Burtt Gilhart, 72, of Hedgesville passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born December 13, 1946 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Lyman C. and Margaret Mae Saville Burtt.
She had been employed with Corning Glass, National Fruit, I.R.S., taught at the Martinsburg Beauty School; and was a security guard with City Hospital.
Her greatest accomplishment was being a “mom”.
She is survived by one daughter, Tamela Gilhart; her doggie “Jules”; two brothers, Lyman Edward Burtt. Chester Dale Burtt and wife, Cathy; one sister, Nancy Jane Houck (John); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, William H. Gilhart;two brothers, Zack Lee Burtt and William Wayne Burtt.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1:00PM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Vanessa Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Hedgesville Cemetery.
