Obituary for Jerry Wayne Catrow
Jerry Wayne Catrow, 71, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
Born on September 23, 1947 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late William Trago Catrow and Lorna Lee Snyder Catrow.
Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Martinsburg High School. He retired from GTE Phone Company and later retired from WV Department of Agriculture as the manager of the Inwood Farmers Market. He was a life-long member of the Arden United Methodist Church. He was a lifelong resident of Arden and was an active farmer and orchardist. Jerry fought a 40 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He is survived by his wife Violet Jane Botkin Catrow, with whom he recently celebrated 50 years of marriage; two sisters Sue Nagley and husband Ron, Mary DeHaven and husband Randy; two brothers Dennis Catrow, and Bob Catrow; 6 nieces and nephews, Becki Walker, Dan Ritchey, Lorie Ritchey, Justin Catrow, Sarah Catrow and Capt. Joe DeHaven and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Arden United Methodist Church with Rev. Mi Ja Cho and Rev. Walter Bowers officiating.
