Obituary for Agnes Marie Copenhaver (Reid)
Agnes Marie Reid Copenhaver, 91, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019.
Born on February 6, 1928 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late W. Melvin Reid and Mary Agnes Bressler Reid.
She was a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America for 60 years, and the Happy Goers Travel Club. She was a long-time volunteer at Berkeley Medical Center.
She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia M. Saylor and husband Glen; four sons, Donald Copenhaver and wife Carol, David Copenhaver and wife Judy, Daniel Copenhaver and wife Tammy, and Brian Copenhaver and wife Laurie; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Copenhaver, Jr., three brothers, William Reid, Paul Reid, and Charles Reid; one grandson, Bradley S. Saylor; and one great-granddaughter, Madilyn Agnes Copenhaver.
Family will receive friends on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
There will be a prayer service Monday at 6:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Thomas Gallagher celebrant.
Interment prayers will be said at Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic School at 110 E. Stephen St., Martinsburg, WV 25401.
