Obituary for William Harold Evans
William Harold Evans, 78 years old, entered the “Gates of Heaven” on August 2, 2019.
He is the husband of Mary Lou (Stephany) Evans. They were married on September 2, 1964, in Bonnie Doone, N.C (Fayetteville) N.C.
He is the father of son, William Mark Evans (Teresa), daughters, Laura Marie Evans, Melissa Ann Miller (John) and Kathy Evans. He is the grandfather of, Ashley Carnes, Matthew Miller (Ashley), Brandon Nicholas and Ryan Nicholas. He is the great grandfather of Reagan Carnes, Georgia Mae Carnes, Maddox Miller, Mischa Miller and Matilda Nicholas.
Bill proudly served in the US Army for seven and a half years. He worked as a Military Policeman and Communications chief. He was retired as a truck driver for different companies. He enjoyed bowling and was proud of his “300 game” ring. He also enjoyed fishing trips with his family, and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Martinsburg.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Vincent Evans, his mother Margaret (McClure) Evans, his brother, Thomas Jackson Evans, his sisters, Leois walker, Oleen Evans, Hazel Furlman, and Flonnie Verzich.
He is survived by his sister Carol Harden.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM at 2nd Southern Baptist Church, 911 North High Street, Martinsburg, WV 25404
