Obituary for Curtis Garland Hite
Curtis Garland Hite, 83, of Falling Waters, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at home under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born December 17, 1935 in Hedgesville, WV he was the son of the late Harry Hunter Hite.
Curtis served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956 mostly in Korea. He retired from NCC (IRS) in December 1990.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Miller Hite; two daughters, Debra Raines of Shelby, NC, Lisa (Dave) Green of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel J. Hite of Martinsburg; nieces; nephews; and one brother-in-law William Miller of Fisher, WV.
He was preceded in death by two brothers John Robert and Frank.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Cooper officiating.
Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
The family requests no flowers and that memorial donations may be made in Curtis’s name to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
