Obituary for Larry Gilbert Kilmer

Larry Gilbert Kilmer, 74, of Hedgesville, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Born on July 10, 1945 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Kilmer and Viola Katherine Stotler Kilmer.

He taught and assisted with preaching at the Church of Christ in Ranson. He was a member of MENSA. He loved cooking and was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent his time at church and with his family. He served his country in the Army ASA and was a Vietnam veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Hoffman Kilmer; two daughters, Michele Barrett and husband, Tommy of Hedgesville, Sabrina Harmison and husband, John of Martinsburg; three grandchildren, Ali and Sierra Barrett and Jack Harmison; one sister, Dottie Eitel and numerous other family members and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home with Brother Mark McDonald officiating.

Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
