Obituary for Robert Joseph Johnson, Sr.
Robert Joseph Johnson, Sr., 80, of Gerrardstown, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at his residence.
Born December 15, 1938 in Buchanan Co., VA, he was the son of the late Arthur Hugh Johnson and Virginia Kathleen Taylor Johnson.
He was employed by C & J Salvage.
He is survived by his companion of 40 years, Dora Lee Brown; two sons, Robert J. Johnson, Jr. and wife Alisa of Martinsburg, and William C. Johnson and wife Denise of Sterling Park, VA; one daughter, Robin Elizabeth Johnson and companion Terry of Madison, VA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth W. and John L. Johnson; and one sister Nancy C. Johnson Childers and husband, Ralph.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Services and interment will be private.
