Obituary for Bethel Bernice Chase (Everhart)

Bethel B. Chase, 89, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born March 13, 1930 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. Everhart and Nancy L. Myers Everhart.

Bethel’s homeplace was in Jones Springs where her love for hunting began.

She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church.

She retired from the 3M Company.

Mrs. Chase is survived by her son, Charles M. Chase, of Martinsburg; three daughters, Nancy L. Bryarly, Leona E. Richardson, and Ellen F. Turner, all of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard L. Chase, on October 2, 2004; and one brother, Bruce W. Everhart.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Berkeley Chapel.

Interment will be in Central Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
