Obituary for H Gene Greenfield

H. Gene Greenfield, 79, of Martinsburg, WV, journeyed to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born August 4, 1940 in Martinsburg, he was the 4th from the eldest son of the late Harlan Wilson Greenfield and Sallie Etta (Myers) Greenfield.

Harlan was a self-employed home builder and a member of Mountain Side Tabernacle, where he volunteered with numerous tasks for the church. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a love for horses. He also enjoyed and taking long nature walks and listening to Christian music. He was loved by many friends and family and will truly be missed.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather Dawn Palmer; three grandchildren; three brothers, Roy and wife Linda, David and wife, Kathy and James Greenfield; two sisters, Linda Palmer and husband Ward and Shirley Blizzard and husband, Sie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Tim, Gary, Billy, Wayne and Carroll Greenfield.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Edward Myers officiating at the chapel. Interment will be at Mountain Side Tabernacle Cemetery.
