Obituary for Anna Elizabeth Rockwell (Palmer)
Anna Elizabeth (Palmer) Rockwell, 96, of Martinsburg, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Clary Grove. She had been a resident of Elm Croft for the last 21/2 years.
Born August 21, 1923 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Henry D. Palmer and Sallye Luella (Barrett) Palmer Thompson, and stepfather, Copelan A. Thompson.
She was employed as a clerk for Interwoven Mill and was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was graduate of Martinsburg High School, Class of 1941 and was also a member of the Fidelity Class.
She is survived by a niece, Karen Holben and husband, Leroy, who has cared for her for the last 15 years; and special friend, Leona Richardson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Rockwell; and her cousin, Sylvia Jean Mason, who was like a sister to her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Patricia Sebring officiating, family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
