Obituary for Geraldine "Geri" Wallen (Hyde)
Geraldine "Geri" Hyde Wallen, 84, of Martinsburg, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Canterbury Center.
Born April 19, 1935 in Brookside, KY, she was the daughter of the late David Loyd Hyde and Ethel Noe Hyde.
She was a member of the Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by two sons, Timothy W. Wallen, and wife Mary, and Randy D. Wallen and wife Ann; one daughter, Deborah J. Watson; six grandchildren, Renee Marshall, Brandon Wallen, Bradley Wallen, Dwayne Wallen, Angela Deeds, and Justin Watson; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Billy Harold Wallen; son, Michael L. Wallen; one brother, John Randolph Hyde; and five sisters, Jacklyn Shipley, Dutch Philpot, Gladys Turner, Jean King, and Jane Griffin.
A memorial service will be held at the Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren on Saturday, December 7 at 11 AM, with Pastor Bob Miller officiating.
