Obituary for Patricia Lynn Hamilton (Staubs)
Patricia Staubs Hamilton, 60, passed away peacefully at home in Hedgesville on December 1, 2019.
Born July 24, 1959 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of Donna Jean Staubs and the late Gerald Staubs of Inwood. She was a Registered Nurse and worked as a Supervisor with Frederick Winchester Health Department. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Mountain State University.
Patricia is survived by her mother, Donna Jean Staubs; brother, Michael E. Staubs (and Elizabeth); sister, Robin Staubs (and Dennis Girard); daughters Sara Elizabeth Spurgeon (and Monte) and Jaime Coddington; fiance, David Coddington (and children Caria and Cameron).
The great joy of her life, besides nursing, were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Oliviah, Jackson, and Charlotte Spurgeon; Jayden and Kristopher Koontz; Courtney Bittinger (children, Hayden, Aubrey, and Hudson); and Jessica Bittinger.
Patricia was a loving and giving person, fabulous cook, and loved traveling with her mother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald E. Staubs and daughter, Angela Bittinger Burchette.
A Memorial service will be held on December 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mountain View Church of the Brethren, Route 51, Bunker Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Patricia’s honor.
