Geneva Mae (Barney) Brown, 99, of Martinsburg, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 surrounded by family.
Born May 11, 1920 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Abijah Allen Barney and Anna Mae Hiett Barney.
She is survived by one son, William E. Brown and wife, Faye; two grandchildren, Douglas Brown (Kimberly) and Tamara Brown; two great-grandchildren, Michael Douglas Brown and Floyd Brown; one great-great-grandchild, Colson; and one sister, Fay Soccino.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Alfred Brown; one son, Gary W. Brown; two brothers, Dorsey and Earl Barney; and one sister, Jane Tucker.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Hartshorn officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
