Obituary for Shirley Mae Clark
Shirley Mae Clark, 80, of Charles Town, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at her home while surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice. Born June 18, 1939, in Stevenson, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Francis Talbert and Edith Mae Carey Talbert.
She was a caretaker with a really big heart and loved painting, gardening and the beach.
She is survived by three grandchildren: Henry Clark, Jr., Stacey Watson, and husband Donald, Sr., all of Charles Town, and Crystal Slother, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; seven great grandchildren: Kameron Lee Clark, Jada Mills, Kailey Joiner, Emma Clark, Hunter Mills, Mason Watson, and Donald “Gomer” Watson; two brothers: Bobby Talbert, of Hampstead, Maryland, and Ricky Talbert, of Baltimore, Maryland and two sisters: Catherine Jones and husband Bill Henry, of Reisterstown, Maryland, and Peggy Ann Talbert, of Westminster, Maryland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Henry Hobart Clark; son, Henry Lee Clark, Sr; two brothers: Dale Edward and Donnie Wayne Talbert, and two sisters, Nancy Huckbale and Georgeanna Talbert.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, with the Minister Robert Basham officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
