Obituary for Lila Marie Gardner (Shanholtz)
Lila Marie Shanholtz Gardner, 79, of Inwood, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020.
Born on September 19, 1940 in Hampshire County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Virgie Shanholtz.
Lila was a 1958 graduate of Romney High School. She was a member of Connections Community Church. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, fishing, and camping. She was a sports enthusiast and loved the Washington Nationals and was a Musselman High School fan.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Gardner; one son, Charles W. Gardner, Jr., two daughters, Deborah Gardner and Kelly Thornton; nine grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Davis and wife, Pat of Tempe, AZ; one sister, Bette Mallow, and husband, Raymond from Keyser, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Rogers; two brothers, Harold Davis, and Ted Davis; three sisters, Gaynelle Davis, Rev. Kathleen Moore, and Margie Moore.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Tim Butler officiating.
Interment will be at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
