Christine Ellen (Jones) Cooley, 88 of Inwood, WV passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Mrs. Cooley was born on Christmas Day 1931 in Rich Hill, MO and liked to say she shared a birthday with Jesus.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Cooley of Inwood; a sister, Sylvia Pretre and husband Bob of Parrish, FL; one son, Norman Johnson and wife Carol of Mt. Airy, MD; two daughters, Charlene Bralley and partner Frank of Camden, AR and Camilla Nelson and husband Jim of Sun City, AZ. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Joanna Neff in Dallas, TX and two step-sons Mathias Cooley of Fargo, ND and Joshua Cooley in Jamestown, ND.

She is also survived by six grandchildren – three girls and three boys in that order: Jalane Neff and husband Jim of Warrenton, MO; Tammy Odom of Pine Bluff, AR; Julie Main Schnatterly and husband Gary of Harpers Ferry, WV; Rob Main and wife Lindsay Lewis of Garner, NC; Jeremy Johnson and wife Carey of Smithsburg, MD; and Brad Johnson of Mt. Airy, MD. And to date (at best count) nine great granddaughters, six great grandsons, ten great-great-granddaughters, and nine great-great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.

“Chris” will be missed by many of her friends at Bunker Hill Brethren in Christ Church where she was a faithful member. She loved the Bible and singing hymns. Her loved ones are comforted in the knowledge that she was ready to meet her Savior.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 20th at 2 pm at Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery with Reverend Raymond Martin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the Christian charity of your choice in her memory.
