Sidney Allen Smith, 68 of Ranson passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at the Jefferson Medical Center. Born May 20, 1951 in Wheeling, WV, he was the son of the late William Wilson Smith, Sr. and Nora Lee Abrams. Sidney was a member of the St. Paul’s Baptist Church. He graduated Charles Town High and attended Shepherd University. He was a barber by trade, loved cutting hair, being Papa to his grandchildren and spending time with his friends and watching horse racing.
He is survived by daughter, Silindra Smith McRay of Hayward, California, granddaughter, Natalia Luczyk, son, Sidney Allen Smith, II of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, fiancé, Vanda Renee Nelson and her children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Smith.
