Obituary for Howard Gross Jr.
Howard Gross, Jr. 86, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his home.
Born July 5, 1930, in Hyden, KY, he was the son of the late Howard Henry Gross and Viola Simpson Gross.
He retired from Fidelity and Deposit Company as Chief Engineer. After his retirement he went to work for the United States Park Service where he was a carpenter and later became a Job Foreman. During his employment he restored historic landmarks.
Howard was a Golden Eagle Member with the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish.
He is survived by his three children, Marlin D. Gross, Sr., Denise K. Crampton, and Warren E. Gross; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Melissa Gross and a daughter, Marlene J. Gay.
Services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the National Rifle Association, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax. VA. 22030
