James Henry  Smith Sr.
James Henry Smith, Sr., 81, of Falling Waters, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his residence following his courageous battle with cancer while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born September 9, 1935 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late James William Smith and Anna Pauline Chamblin Smith.

He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.

He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delma Marie Charlton Smith; two sons, James H. Smith, Jr. and wife, Tracie, and Steve Smith and wife, Sherry; five grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Alexa, Amanda and Andrew; and four great-grandchildren, Cameron, Gracie, Blaaidyn and Brierlee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Smith, and two brothers, Russell and Charles Smith.

Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Harmony United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the church with Rev. Terri Cofiell officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.
