The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Burkett can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Dear Jackie and Family, Gerald and I want to let you and the family know we are continuing to hold you up in prayer. We are sorry we will miss the memorial service for Jack tomorrow but Gerald has several scheduled appointments at the VA Center tomorrow. Gerald was talking about Jack and how he was hit with water back from an employee there aiming it at Gerald and missing. He said Jack just smiled and took it all in stride. We have missed all of you and hope to see you again soon. Love and prayers, Jean & Gerald
