Alexandra "Sasha"  Charvat
Alexandra "Sasha" Charvat, 74, of Inwood passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

She was born August 20, 1943 to Alzbeta (Honzikova) and Miloslav Bednar in Plzen, Czechoslovakia.

A naturalized U.S. citizen, Sasha came to America in 1969 after the Prague Spring. As a business administrator, she worked in a variety of positions -- most notably supporting the Arizona Department of Corrections for 30 years. Sasha retired in December 2017.

She moved to Inwood in 2018 to be closer to her family. Sasha enjoyed hiking, cooking, reading, and above all else time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Milan and Artur Bednar.

Sasha is survived by her daughter Monica Taylor and son-in-law Dean Taylor; two grandsons, Michael and Gabriel Taylor; and many dear friends to include Millie Bares.

Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 321 Potomac Ave, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442 on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to Grace Baptist Church to assist with community services.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.
